How VE Helped ALP Build a Strong Social Media Presence
In the last two decades, social media has become a crucial tool for businesses to engage with their target audience and boost brand recognition. Through regular meetings with the management team, ideas began to flow, and we not only established a presence on Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook but also began publishing regular newsletters. Each issue became more interesting as ALP began to share more compelling stories that they previously would not have thought to use.
One initiative that was particularly successful was the "Working Lunch" idea. This was a free initiative offered by VE not only to existing clients such as ALP but also to any business looking to improve their social media presence. The aim of the “Working Lunch” was to raise awareness and motivate the team of engineers to bring in even more content in the form of pictures and videos related to current projects and charity fundraising events.

Together with ALP's Business Manager, Susie Lawman , we developed a strategy that helped to boost ALP's social media engagement and presence. In addition to publishing content on the four major social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook), we also leveraged ALP's membership in the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce by publishing content in their online and printed publications.
This case study shows that building a strong and effective social media presence is not a one-time task, but rather a continuous and ongoing process. It takes time, effort, patience, knowledge and consistency. It also requires training and employee advocacy. It may not be that straight forward but with the right strategy and support, it is a valuable tool for any business.
