The Power of Connections

The Power of Connections

It has been a great honour to be invited to share ICC Sydney's success at a number of international events this month. Following a presentation at ICCA alongside Peter J.A.van der Veer, CEO of Rotterdam Ahoy and Pru Daly from New Zealand, we met the AEG Ogden team at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre in Muscat, Oman and then on to Seoul MICE Week, where we presented alongside Nancy Carfrae from Union of International Associations.

In each city, our presentations on the power of connections and the competitive advantage that this can provide has resonated strongly with audiences, colleagues and fellow panellists.

While a venue design that enables people to connect during official event activities as well as providing spaces for those impromptu meetings is critical, being connected with local business, industry, universities, start-ups, artists and, in the Australian context, our First Nations people allows business events to provide a deeper impact and leave a lasting legacy.

At ICC Sydney, this philosophy ripples across our teams as our people find meaning and passion in the work they do; whether it be our chefs working directly with farmers or introducing international organisers to authentic local performers, these connections enrich both the client and delegate experience while providing opportunities for our local community.
