The Power of Connection: Creating the Perfect Weekly All-Hands Meeting

The Power of Connection: Creating the Perfect Weekly All-Hands Meeting

The best weekly meeting I was ever involved with had 40 to 50 people.

It was a weekly all-hands which was completed in 90 minutes.? People were in a dozen locations.

Every person shared…

- good news personal and business,

- dept heads talked about their numbers and priorities..??

- with live dashboards alongside the chat thread and notes.??

- we shared marketing intelligence?

- project teams update progress on strategic projects

- we had a parking lot where anyone could add an issue for the company to address collectively.? We would wrestle these down as a group.

- A core values story of someone living a core value.

It ran on time and was the most important hour of my week as CEO.

Why it was so powerful...

- A one-page strategic plan everyone contributes to each quarter

- all participants pre-populated in response to powerful questions

- live company data that was shared with all.

- designed to engage extroverts, introverts, and intellectuals

- integrated to task / project apps

- notes were sent to everyone - including those that didn't attend.

- we all bought into our core values

People still tell me it was the best meeting they have experienced in the business world.

It's why we decided to build https://www.meetingzen.com/
