I'm a great believer that a significant part of the low carbon eebrgy revolution is people powered! Small, de-centralised community energy schemes globally that engage people in the communities where they live in climate action and create positive benefits from an income stream.
So im'm delighted to be joining this event at Said Business school in Oxford next Tuesday 24th to discuss the route to scaling community energy across the UK.
Barbara Hammond of Low Carbon Hub will talk about their vision for Oxfordshire raising and deploying the funding for community energy schemes across the County
Forum for the Future will talk about their vision for a Living Grid
and I'll explain how M&S Energy is supporting Community Energy projects with £350k this year (apply if you're looking for funding!)
Three different perspectives but all aligned with the need for a new approach to energy in the UK - clean, connected, communities
