The Power of Community: America's Warrior Partnership and the Fight Against Veteran Suicide
Mission Roll Call
Empowering veterans where they are to make their voice heard
As we enter September, a month dedicated to mental health and wellness, it’s crucial to reflect on the ongoing challenges our veterans face and the importance of community in addressing them. At Mission Roll Call, we believe in the power of collaboration to create meaningful change, and there's no better example of this than America's Warrior Partnership (AWP) .
For the past decade, AWP has been at the forefront of supporting veterans and their families, building a robust community of support that offers direct resources to those in need. Central to this effort is The AWP Network , AWP’s innovative initiative that connects veterans to local, state, and national resources. The AWP Network serves as a bridge, ensuring that veterans receive timely and effective assistance, no matter where they are or what challenges they face. This community-driven approach underscores the belief that preventing veteran suicide requires more than just crisis intervention; it demands a strong, connected support system that can address a wide range of needs.
One of the most critical aspects of AWP's work is its dedication to preventing veteran suicide, a crisis that continues to claim too many lives each day. Through their groundbreaking research initiative, Operation Deep Dive ?, AWP is uncovering the factors contributing to veteran suicide and self-harm, aiming to develop actionable solutions that communities can implement nationwide. The insights gained from Operation Deep Dive? emphasize the importance of proactive engagement and the role that a community-based support system like The AWP Network plays in preventing suicide.

2 个月This is an excellent central hub for veterans and their families. We hear from many who simply don’t want to navigate through a phone tree or all the extra steps it can often take to get connected with the right people or resources. Thank you, America's Warrior Partnership, for being a direct resource for vets and their families, regardless of what they need.
