Power of Communication

Communication is an important medium in a team. It is an important building block of the team. Without communication , a team cannot function to the best of its ability. With good communication 80 percent of the team issues are resolved. In Agile teams, self organizing and performing teams use communication to collaborate with each other, resolve issues, preform code reviews, discuss approach notes and design approaches.

For the leadership team, good communication is a must. Clear and robust communication of the progress of the work is needed in the development of a product. The customer feedback should be well communicated to the development team and the stakeholders so that the changes are incorporated in the product backlog.

Communication should include empathy in speaking to other people. Good communication results in relationship building. Our communication is reflected in social media messages, the meaning we give to our words, written and spoken and the story we tell others.

There are various stages of communication:-

1. Expressing yourself
2. Listening and Responding
3. Showing Emotional Intelligence
4. Understanding and responding to people with style or frame of reference.

Communication is not about focusing on YOU. It is about focusing on others. We should always ask the question on about "What do they need to know about the topic "?

Communication is all about aspirations and emotions, looking into the eye of people and having a Face to Face communication. Communication attaches meaning to a conversation.

A.I and communication goes hand in hand, Communication is needed in prompt engineering as well and also in dealing with humans like doctors or surgeons, they way they communicate with their patients.

One should invest a lot in improving communication skills and it can be a big tool in your armor.
