Brad Deutser’s research, based on a survey of 15,000 employees, reveals that belonging is a fundamental human need. Nine out of ten employees surveyed stated that experiencing belonging at work is important or extremely important. This finding highlights the significance of creating a sense of belonging within organizations. One of the rules highlighted by Brad is the need to turn into power structures. By acknowledging and addressing power differentials within organizations, leaders can create an environment that fosters progress and inclusivity. This rule challenges the traditional approach of circumventing power structures and emphasizes the importance of having difficult conversations/
In addition, we focus on the need to listen without labels, encouraging leaders to hear what is spoken without judgment and engage with the unspoken. By practicing empathy, vulnerability, and compassionate thinking, leaders can create a space for open dialogue and understanding. This approach allows for diverse perspectives to be heard and respected
