The Power of Claiming "Your Thing"

The Power of Claiming "Your Thing"

"I am" is one of the most powerful phrases we can use when building a personal brand as a Solopreneur.

It affirms. It creates confidence. It helps build credibility.

Even though marketers tell you to use "you language, rather than I language" even using the "I am" language for yourself can help you shift how you see yourself, and stave off those pesky mind monkeys that have you thinking you are not that special at all.

So back in October, I made the bold move to rebrand myself as The Solopreneurs Champion....I know right? BIG. BOLD. CLAIM.

The thing is I don't know why it took me so bleeding long to do the rebrand, as I actually came up with the brand almost 5 years ago, but didn't have the courage to move forward with it, which is ironic as I have been helping my clients to step into their authority in exactly this way.

It's not just the brand though, the past year I have been busy simplifying my business model, pinning down and registering my Year to Change? methodology, and creating a suite of products and services (many that were already in existence just needed tweaking) that has brought things all together....and created a lovely shift in what is occurring right now.

So what has shifted...

  1. Revenue - I made more money from my business in Quarter 4, than I did the rest of the year. With lots of other exciting projects and client discovery calls in the pipeline for this year. I have always been able to make revenue in my business, but I haven't always made it easy for people to understand what I do and what I offer.
  2. Authority - Even though I have been doing this work a long time, people are now taking more notice of my work, both new to me folks and people who already know me...engagement is up across all of socials, email list opens and website views....and I am even getting leads from Linkedin.
  3. Lead Gen - I am finding it much easier to find and activate new people, get them into my sales pipeline, and also find people who want to put me in front of their audience. I am being asked to run guest expert sessions, to appear on podcasts, to partner and collaborate.
  4. Product Design - As an ideas person I could create a million different thing a week (and have done in the past) but now with my clear brand, niche and model I just don't need to. The things I have created are selling to existing clients, folks in my network...and most importantly to new people. I can use my creativity in other places.
  5. Confidence - Look I have been doing this work a long time (29 years in April), but we can all suffer from bouts of comparisonitis or imposter syndrome, plus we can get in our head about the cost of living and all that jazz, my new focus means I am more confident in my abilities to help people than ever.

So as you can probably tell, I am excited about 2024.

More than 100 solopreneurs have purchased my Solopreneurs Dashboard so far, and I am running my first Planning Session for them this Friday at 10am...I may consider running quarterly planning sessions for people who have the tool if there is enough interest.

One of my aspirational business values has been SIMPLICITY...this rebrand has finally given me that.

And I want that level of ease, and clarity for you too.

Next week I am kicking off a brand new high-level mastermind/business growth incubator called Your One BIG Thing, it takes the best parts of my One to Many, Audience Builder Bootcamp & Tribe Builder? programmes added to the insight I have gathered in terms of my recent restructure...and what we have is probably the most powerful curriculum I have ever designed.

I have also committed to keeping this first round super affordable as a thank you, to the people who have been on my email list all this time supporting me.

So you can jump in from as little as £250

Drop me an email today to find out if you are at the right stage of business for this
