The Power of Choice

Like many of you, diving into podcasts on business, entrepreneurship, and self-development has become a bit of a ritual for me. What I’ve noticed in many of these podcasts is a recurring theme around the power of choice—the ability to shape our perspective on the world. Do we see the rose or fixate on the thorns?
This question reminds me of Victor Frankl's profound insights in "A Man's Search For Meaning," where he reflects on his harrowing experience in a Nazi concentration camp during WWII. Frankl teaches us that even in the most dire circumstances, we retain the power to choose our outlook.
While my challenges pale in comparison to Frankl's, I've had moments that felt beyond my control, times when I felt like a victim. Yet, I've learned that dwelling in the negative stalls progress.
The past year has been particularly challenging for many of us in global mobility. The pandemic has transformed business goals and work environments, slowing down the frequency of relocations and leaving many feeling undervalued. It's easy to get discouraged as we witness the shifting landscape of an industry we hold dear.
?However, the remedy to feeling like a victim is creation. What if we reimagine global mobility—forging something new and powerful from the challenges we face?
?For 30+ years, our industry has driven productivity by placing the right people in the right spots. Now is the time to rally together and continue delivering value to our clients and their employees, even if it looks different than it did pre-COVID.
In line with creation, my passion lies in developing innovative insurance solutions. Where there's business friction or risk, I see an opportunity to make a difference. If you believe there's an area where we can enhance the transferee experience, please reach out. Let's brainstorm together.
