The Power to Care

In The Heroic Protagonist... I noted that "a Protagonist is a leading character in a drama, movie, novel, or other fictional text. We can be one in our own lives, and I believe we are "called" to be such indeed and in deed." I suggest that the Strength of Character that is Caring is a significant part of that and, this month, we offer up 3 TUGtv shows that centered (to varying degrees) on same.

We have also looked at Balance and Beauty and Benevolence. Then, last Week we looked at Candor. Which brings us to...

I have posted before on same through 5 Strategies for Self Care and Caring Management. My simple message now is to encourage a read and reflect on the Card above. I invite you to discern and decide around what it might look like in Caring for others, and yourself... in Caring for work, projects and causes in which you soulfully believe.

What might it look like in better practice at home, school, work, business, play and community? What might it look like and with whom? Get clear on that practice. And maybe check out Character, Leadership and Education.

The power of Caring is noteworthy. It has real return on practice. Dale Carnegie spoke to the importance of taking genuine interest in others and listening deeply. Think of the power of being considerate and helpful. Think of the power of bringing Excellence to what we do.

Think of the power of bringing both passion and Purpose to what we do. Think of the power of Caring to ever better focus our actions... and to be that Benevolent Leader. Think of the power of taking care of ourselves, as we serve who we best serve. Any truly great and sincere practice of Character and Leadership requires it. Indeed, in fundamental ways, it is part of a genuine, applied and practical spirituality in business.

Yes, Caring... the world, and our corners of it, could use more of it.
