The Power of Being Worthy
If you could name one thing in your life that was making the greatest difference to the way you’re living right now, what would it be? You might list anything from the love and support of your nearest and dearest to the kind of work you’re doing. But the flaw in this particular question is the fact that your answers are the product of your conscious mind’s limited ability to understand what’s really going on.
Why do we say this?
Because some ninety-five to ninety-nine percent of everything we think and feel and do is rooted in our subconscious. 95 to 99%. At first glance, that might seem to be an astonishing figure but it’s fully supported by a great deal of contemporary research. It’s true that we generally love the idea of free choice, free will and the power to shape our destiny. But these concepts can appear absurd when considered against the background of our conditioned behaviours and reflexes. In reality, the subconscious governs us in ways that are usually unnoticed and unrecognised by the conscious mind.
Sometimes the hardest part of the journey is believing you're worthy of the trip.

Why is this relevant?
If you’re harbouring any doubts and suspicions about your worthiness, this is where the seeds of destruction are sown. They might not be obvious and this is the main area of concern. We sometimes behave in ways that don’t make sense. We do things that are counter-productive, potentially harmful to our best interests, destructive to our plans and to our reputations. The fact is that deeply-buried feelings of unworthiness can wreck relationships, sabotage businesses, ruin finances and undermine our health and wellbeing. So, it’s a serious subject and an area that deserves our fullest attention.
As long as you look for someone else to validate who you are by seeking their approval, you are setting yourself up for disaster. You have to be whole and complete in yourself. No one can give you that. You have to know who you are - what others say is irrelevant.

How can you tell if you’re experiencing the consequences of unworthiness? It’s easy. Just take a look at any areas of your life that aren’t working.
Let’s start with a particularly sensitive area that affects many people today. Do you have difficulties making your relationships work? Would you be surprised to learn that the origins of this problem usually find their roots in the way we connect to our parents?
It’s astonishing that fractured relationships with parents can cast their shadow across every other relationship we experience. It’s rarely obvious and we like to believe that we’re fully capable of understanding the problem within the limited range of our conscious minds. But, unfortunately, this purely intellectual insight has no influence on the underlying nature of the problem. The conditioning forms part of the behavioural foundation of our subconscious and continues to exert its influence every day in every relationship.
Self-worth comes from one thing - thinking that you are worthy.

Moving on to another interesting area of concern, are you one of the growing numbers of people who experience difficulties with finances? The mechanics of sound financial management will always be subservient to the underlying beliefs that define our relationship with money. Developing a sound financial strategy is always a good idea but it needs to be fully supported by a healthy and positive belief in your worthiness of comfort and financial security. If you come from a family that struggled with finances and instilled a sense of fear and anxiety around money, you can easily imagine how difficult this area of your life is likely to be.
Even after achieving considerable success, an individual who harbours underlying feelings of unworthiness can slip unintentionally into destructive behaviours that can ruin the business. This is not so unusual. It’s as if the person can’t really believe that they’re capable of achieving so much. So, they unconsciously identify the weak spots where they can wreak havoc on their own lives as well as the lives of their nearest and dearest.
If you aren't good at loving yourself, you will have a difficult time loving anyone, since you'll resent the time and energy you give to another person that you aren't even giving to yourself.

Are you struggling to achieve success? Are you working hard but not making progress? What’s holding you back? What are you doing – or, perhaps, not doing – that could revolutionise your life? Rather than struggling against your deep-rooted beliefs and their associated behaviours, it’s time to address these challenges and install a more helpful and supportive set of personal beliefs. Perhaps you would benefit from talking with a skilled and professional therapist. Why not? It could be the biggest breakthrough you’ll ever experience in your life, a direct way to remove the limiting beliefs that have conspired to frustrate your needs and ambitions. It could mark the start of a new and much happier way of living your life.
You could develop a set of personal emotive affirmations for yourself, a set of positively-charged mantras that you repeat throughout the day as an antidote to the old shadows of negativity that used to hold sway over your thoughts and feelings. If you suspect that your life could be richer, happier and more fulfilling, it’s time to upgrade your behavioural software and discover how great your life can be when you set yourself free from the past.
A person's worth in this world is estimated according to the value they put on themselves.
