The Power of Being Grateful

In my business coaching, we have seven principles that can transform a company's culture and enhance employee connections. Today, we will focus on implementing the seventh principle in our lives.

My coaching sessions provide various methods to strengthen bonds with your employees and achieve positive outcomes. Each principle builds on the others, collectively benefiting a business owner and potentially altering the business's destiny for the better.

Without further ado, the seventh principle: "Have an Attitude of Gratitude." What does that mean?

Many business owners find themselves constantly complaining about their employees. They might say their employees don’t make sales, don’t arrive on time, leave early without clocking out, dress inappropriately, or just do the bare minimum to avoid getting fired. Some small business owners lament not having enough sales, not making enough money, or not having enough staff. The complaints are endless.

Having worked with numerous businesses, I have taught business owners to adopt an attitude of gratitude. This means being thankful that your employees are alive, that they show up to work, make phone calls, and put in effort. If you look closely, you can find many reasons to be grateful.

If we focus on what’s wrong with our employees, that’s all we’ll see. Whatever you focus on is what you’ll get. So, it’s time to shift your focus and appreciate your hardworking employees. Now it’s your turn: make a list of ten things you can be grateful for about your employees or your business. To bring about change, we must put in the effort. Don’t procrastinate—make your list NOW!
