The power to automate your admin is yours!
A wise man once said....
I can be productive like a boss
He was talking about Continuum, the ability to use your phone as a PC when you connect it to a monitor and a keyboard, but this is not what this article is about.
This article is about productivity, how you can self help and banish many admin nightmares from your work life.
Do you still spend some of our working hours on the following:
- Moving information from one system to another?
- Having to Copy/Paste?
- Having to manually send e-mails alerts to peers or managers?
- Having to capture information from social media and manually adding it to tools and apps?
- Trying to make your applications communicate with each other but not being able to?
- Wasting valuable time on tasks that can be automated?
If you recognize your challenges in any of those bullet points, here's something that can take away some of that annoying pain:
Microsoft Flow enables you to connect your online data, services and applications, as well as giving you the power to automate data transfers between them and the ability to trigger actions based on conditions defined by you.
The example in the image above, illustrates how you can add a person as a contact and send them an automatic e-mail once they interact with you or your brand on Twitter. You can also track this action or capture their information as a Contact or Lead in your CRM tool.
Microsoft Flow makes it easy for you to automate tasks and transfer data from one cloud to another. No code, no complications, just templates and intuitive language:
While Microsoft Flow is still in preview, it's publicly available for you to try. You have access to many templates to choose from, learning materials and a supportive community. Go have a look here.
If you want some video guidance on how to use Flow, I found these 2 videos very useful:

I hope you enjoyed this article, please note these are my personal thoughts and do not represent an official communication from Microsoft.
