The Power of AI in Investor Relations

IR connects the company with the investment and financial community and serves to provide information that helps the investing public to evaluate and analyze the company in order to determine if it’s a solid investment.

Through IR outreach and providing information on vision, strategy, growth, results, and future plans, investors can review the information and make investment decisions.?

How much outreach has to be done in order to successfully impact trade volume and valuation???

In today’s climate, competition is fierce, information and signal noise in all industries is at an all-time high, and there is competing and conflicting information that can change at a moment's notice. That is why successful IR is more about targeting, educating, building relationships, and establishing trust.?

While more outreach does increase trade volume and share value positively, (under normal, typical circumstances), business as usual tactics are no longer effective.?

As other industries rely more and more on big data, the next logical conclusion is that IR can also benefit from leveraging the power of technology and data to make better decisions on which investors would be open to investing in which companies. A few of the tools that work within an IR context include artificial intelligence, data analytics, and outreach typically reserved for B2B outbound sales outreach. These are powerful when combined together to increase awareness and bring more investors to the table.?

Here’s a brief overview of how these three tools work together to form a powerful IR outreach strategy:

AI is mentioned everywhere and more companies are looking to transform and adopt this technology into their companies. While there are many different types of AI (for example Conversational AI, Machine Learning, AI that can write, paint, speak, or even make music), the main value is in the data it gathers.?

Imagine having access to hundreds of thousands of investors with millions of data points, not only when they were communicated with last, but what companies and industry types and investments they participated in and are open to in the future. What if you can take that data (for example our AI added 25 million data points to our 300,000 investor database just in 2020 alone), and continually refine it so that the targeting continuously becomes that much more effective and you not only have investors who are more likely to invest, but also what makes them more likely to pull the trigger and invest.?

Now take that AI engine and combine it with that large database of investors that is constantly getting updated with millions of data points, and couple that with an intelligent outreach tool that can serve up the most likely investors and lets you know when, how, how often, and what messages are more likely to get a positive response.?

While IR outreach is proven critical to increasing awareness and trade volume, it is also becoming more difficult due to our current environment. Traditional outreach is proving less effective.?

Industries of all types are embracing and applying the latest technology to improve production, sales, manufacturing, among others. The data they gather allows them to make data-driven decisions which improves their desired outcomes. It just makes sense to adopt and use tools that lend themselves to improving IR outreach.
