Who loves a bit of accountability??
I know I do. And I definitely need it.
Would you like to know a little secret? Thought so…
Despite having numerous coaches for different areas in my life - the biggest and best tool for my own accountability is the Collective of Extraordinary Women.?
Not only does Rae-Anna - our community manager - hold me to account in our weekly strategy meetings, but needing to show up for the group as a whole every Monday and Friday at 10am - means that I have a level of structure and discipline in my life that I know my clients eventually benefit from.?
So whilst the community was principally designed to make world class coaching more accessible to female founders - a WONDERFUL by product is that I am personally and professionally held to account for my vision and mission.?
These are:
Vision: Equality in Entrepreneurship
Mission: Empowering Female Founders to Build Brilliant Businesses.?
By only serving my corporate and 1:1 clients - I don’t feel like I am doing enough to change the female founder landscape.
But by creating The Collective I am!
Here’s your question then.?
How are you ensuring there is accountability in your life.?
That you will do what you say you will do?
Because with all the will in the world - there is nothing like having a group of phenomenal women alongside you - all of whom are rooting for your success.?
The Collective remains FREE for now - so if you’re in there - you really do need to be making sure you show up.?
We removed a whole host of members in Q1 because we don’t pay lip service to accountability.?
We do what we say we are going to do, when we say we are going to do it.?
Do you??
Here are 4 things you can do to increase your productivity and happiness in life through accountability:

1.Set a clear date and time.
This increases the probability that you will get your task done by on average 54%. Creating false deadlines if you don’t have someone to hold you account works wonders. There needs to be a penalty for not achieving the date and time. That penalty could be you have to read a chapter of a book you’ve never touched on the shelf. Something that’s not going to make you feel bad about yourself, but will be a good use of your time.?
2.Tell someone.
A HUGE strategy for accountability is telling someone. This is why the collective works so well, because each week you have to state your 3 top tasks in the whatsapp chat feed. This will increase your chances by a further 77%. I know right!! Why wouldn’t you try this?!
3.Don’t set and forget.?
You need to see the tasks you’ve set on a daily basis, before the hamster wheel kicks into place and you’re doing your monotonous daily procrastination. A simple post it note on your computer - or a rewrite of the task each day in the Bullet Journal allows you to reconnect with your top tasks. Each time you do this you increase the chances of ticking one of them off.?
4.Congratulate yourself in a meaningful way when you do complete your task.?
Set out at the start of the week - what you will do for yourself to celebrate your achievement. Sometimes I like to simply sit and look at my list of green highlighter in my bullet journal. This is a small visual reward for me on a weekly basis. But when it comes to larger timescales - I may do something bigger. A full day in the spa? with a massage or a weekend away are my go to’s to celebrate a big achievement.?
This is your chance to get accountable.?
I’m obviously biassed - but I’m going to say the best way to do this is by joining the BEST FREE coaching resource for the community of female founders out there.?
Who will I see at the next check-in?

1 年Love these tips Lucienne. I'm putting money on the line — I owe my brother £250 if I don't send him chapter 1 by my birthday. I could do with breaking it down into chunks, and rewarding myself intentionally along the way like you've described
