The Power of 3

When I was playing football in high school our coaches would build our weightlifting workouts?around what they called The Big 3. And then sometimes there would be the auxiliary?exercises.


But always The Big 3. Bench?press, power cleans, and leg press for example.


You made sure to do those and we would do the other ones as a bonus.


Now as a business?owner, every week I make it my mission to think?about The Big 3 I need to accomplish that week. Then every?day break that down?into The Big Three I need to do for that day.


Three doesn't sound like too?much does it?


That's actually the beauty of this whole system. It's not overwhelming but it keeps you focused on the things that really move the needle.


It helps you avoid the busyness trap where you are doing ALL THE THINGS but getting nowhere.


Think about that in the context of improving your health. What are three things you could do this week to progress forward?


If you meal-prepped 5 meals for the week, got in 3 workouts, and turned your phone off an hour early every night that would be a great week!


Or break your nutrition down into one day. Drank 36 ounces of water, ate a vegetable at every meal, and had protein at every meal. That's a great day!


Those are just some examples but start thinking of ways you can take your big goal and simplify it down to what you can do this week.


And then simplify that into what you can do each day.
