Pour in to your people
Short post today. Dolly Parton's America, particularly the parts hit by Hurricane Helene and about to be hit by Milton, are hurting. Dolly is doing one of the things she does best - stepping in and stepping up. She's announced a personal donation of $1M to be matched by several of her businesses (link in credit for photo). She's pouring money back into the people and the mountains that she loves and that created the Dolly we all love. Wherever you are - geographically, economically, politically, age-wise - you can pour in to those you love, disaster or no disaster. You can pour in to those you love with your time, your attention, your support, your love - it doesn't have to be money.
So, be like Dolly and love your people. In whatever ways you can.

1 个月Thought of you this morning when I saw about her donation. And absolutely right Kim, it doesn’t have to be financial. Yes, financial support is needed but so is empathy and kindness.
