I can see lot of people run away reading and hearing the words potential and performance. At the same time, these words are everywhere in our daily life.
You go out to have diner, you would like to eat some delicious food, so your expectation is the cooker perform well.
You like when your children’s studies go well, so they perform well.
Or, least you expect the teachers have enough potential and perform enough well to accompany your children to develop their (hidden) potentials.
You like when your car is reliable in any seasons, you can use your air-condition in hot summer or the heating in winter time. Etc etc.
You have a personalized level of potential which is linked to your background, education, heritage, envy, motivation, experience, energy, mind-set, life story…
You cannot use all your potential in one shot. You have ambitions & projects during all your life.
In your all life, you learn and change orientation - several times, new things & people come in your life and old ones go out.
Sometimes it takes shorter and sometimes it takes longer to exploit and to implement your potential before jumping to another level of performance.

3 年May be people forget the most important thing before defining speed and distance to run... What is the goal of this run? after that, speed and distance parameter should be more easy to define, and reaching the goal should be easier... I assume

3 年Running is one thing, and running fast is another. However, knowing how to run for the right reason, and especially in the right direction, is even more important. In business management, we sometimes rush things, just to give the impression that we are moving (changing). If we would take the trouble to think more and better, perhaps we would avoid unnecessary rushing and would better serve the purpose of the company with more intelligence and less effort.
