Potential

God wants the best for all of us, We all have the potential to do more and be more in life, The problem is, most of us go through life by just trying to survive instead of learning to thrive. Most of us just let life happen rather than living intentionally.

It starts within. There is nothing stopping us from aspiring to do more, and have more, but first we must be more. Millions of people are unhappy with their health, relationship, or their habits. It is reported that more than half of Americans are unhappy in their job.

If we are so unhappy, why don’t we do something about it? When we are unable to change our situation, we are challenged to change ourselves. We settle for ordinary rather than make the extra effort or thought to achieve extraordinary results. Unfortunately, how to achieve our goals or dreams isn’t something that is taught in school. How to find success, regardless of how we define it, isn’t something addressed in job training or college courses. We have to be willing to plan, work and earn extraordinary results in life.

An "abundant life" is something we all want – abundant means having plenty, more than enough. Having abundant life means finding a way to enjoy life. It means we aren’t missing out on the things in life that really matter, like our family.

It means we aren’t sacrificing our health to work a little harder at a job that stresses us out. It means finding balance and peace in a life that is too busy and too fast, too much of the time. Intentional thinking leads to intended results, plan to execute and execute to the plan.

Many people are anxious to improve their circumstances, but the vast majority are unwilling to improve themselves, and as a result, they remain stuck working desperately to change a situation, instead of changing themselves. Self-awareness is a sign of emotional intelligence and the first step in making positive changes in our lives.

We cannot influence others when we criticize, condemn, and complain about unplanned results. Most of us want more influence, not less. Assume we are trying to solve a problem or make an improvement. When we hear someone, that is supposed to be helping us, criticizing, condemning, and complaining, does their influence increase or decrease? Do they build trust or create distrust? Are they helping or hurting? It's pretty simple. People that want to offer solutions find a way. People that want to moan and groan find an excuse. The more we complain, the less we obtain. Why not make your latest excuse your last excuse? Be solution minded, with a coaching attitude and presentation for those around you to model.

No matter what or who, we all must have a mission. We must first know who we are, where we are and where we want to go before we begin to go there. Moses was one of the first great leaders in History and one I have studied in depth. The scripture says, Moses was a man just like us with a calling on his life. God chose him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and take them to the promised land, the mountain of God. The good news is, Like our lives, Moses life was not without its failures either. The great I AM continues to call us to Himself today and gives us the pattern of Moses in living a life of obedient service to Him. Make it a great day for someone as we live to love and share Jesus with others.

Exodus 3: 1 and 14

1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
