If you are a wine exporter please be aware that there is a potential longshoremen strike. Unless a new contract is written and accepted there is a tentative strike planned for October 1st of 2024. The union is asking for a 77% increase in hourly wages.
My feeling is that large of an increase will be difficult to be absorbed by the companies and unless the union is willing to accept much less this may be impossible to avert.
If as an exporter you have shipments in containers that haven't been unloaded by September 30th you may have a long wait.
