Potassium, the wonder mineral !!!

Potassium helps lower insulin. Without enough potassium, your insulin could increase and keep you out of fat burning. Potassium is also needed to adequately hold protein in your body (especially in the muscles). The electrical charge and energy of your cells are dependent upon incoming potassium. The best source of potassium, better than bananas, is green vegetables.

Each day our bodies require 4,000 to 4,700 milligrams of potassium. That’s a lot, and I encourage all to consume 7 to 10 cups of salad or vegetables per day to get close to this amount. You can also obtain potassium from your meats.

Adding this change to your diet will be one of the most significant health-creating actions of your life. It might seem impossible, but after you try it, you’ll feel so good!

Just include large salads to your meal...and you would really feel very good. Potassium also helps to curb your sweet cravings, and slowly you would be able to rule out any sugars in your meal, without any cravings.

There are certain group of vegetables, which have some very interesting properties; they are anti-estrogen, anti-cancer, anti–toxic chemical, and greatly help the liver in its ability to detoxify. Because estrogen is fat making hormone and blocks the fat-burning growth hormone, eating many of these vegetables can help weight loss greatly.

Many people are told that consuming green vegetables will reduce their iodine reserves, thus impacting their thyroid glands. If you consume a good amount of green vegetables in your diet, the best solution is to merely add some iodine in your diet. 

The benefits of green vegetables is by far outweighing any negatives. These vegetables help balance an excess-estrogen situation, which is one of the causes of hypothyroidism—an under active thyroid gland. The ONLY reason I would avoid green vegetables is if you experience bloating. In this case, steam them or cook them until no more bloating occurs.
