POSTPONED the requirement of Audit Trail in Accounting Software as per MCA notification

This is to inform you that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) defers mandatory use of Audit Trail software to the Financial Year beginning with April 01, 2022.

Earlier the same was supposed to be effective for the Financial Year beginning with April 01, 2021.

This is the major relief provided to the Companies by MCA.

Every Company using Accounting software for maintaining its Books of Account, have time till the start of Financial Year April 01, 2022 to adopt the Accounting software which has following features:

1. Record Audit Trail of each transaction

2. Create an edit log of each change made in Books of Account. It shall also mention the date when such changes were made.

3. Ensure that Audit Trail cannot be disabled.
