PosterSpy Creates 3 Stunning Posters for Star Trucker ????

We're delighted to reveal our 3 bespoke posters for Star Trucker in collaboration with publisher Raw Fury .

In typical PosterSpy style, we invited our community of 5,000 artists to apply for this campaign. After much deliberation and looking through many portfolios, we had our artists locked in. Dominik Gümbel , Lazare Gvimradze and Simon Heard were chosen for this project based on their strong visual style.

During the creation process, PosterSpy founder Jack Woodhams worked closely with both the developers from Monster and Monster and Raw Fury:

Working on these Star Trucker art pieces was a total joy and I can't wait for the fans to see them. I'm an avid PC gamer, so I understand the need for communities to get excited about the games they play and what better way than to offer them something they can set as their phone wallpaper or buy a print of! Working on projects like this feels incredibly rewarding and I still have pinch me moments knowing that PosterSpy can help to connect thousands of incredible artists with companies like Raw Fury. I'd like to give a shout out to Mariela at Raw Fury and Dave from Monster and Monster for their support throughout the project and helping to get these posters to the quality you see now and of course to the artists for their hard work and dedication bringing Star Trucker to a new medium!

Below are their incredible pieces for this project.

Dominik Gümbel

While browsing PosterSpy recently, I was thrilled to discover a new commission opportunity featured on their page! As a huge fan of sci-fi and space-themed topics, I was immediately intrigued. The Star Trucker game, in particular, sparked memories of one of my all-time favorite movies: The Fifth Element. I was even more excited when I was selected to contribute artwork for the project. Two ideas for the piece came to mind right away, and both struck a chord with Jack and the client. Without further ado, I dove into finalizing the line art for one of the concepts. After making a few minor tweaks and experimenting with color options, we quickly arrived at the finished artwork! This project was such a breeze to work on, and I’m thrilled with the level of detail we were able to achieve in the final piece.

I’ve always loved finding ways to cross my love for illustration with my hobbies and interests, and science fiction games fall squarely in that category. Further within that though, there is an additional special place in my heart for titles that find a way to create unique genre juxtapositions that result in immediately iconic identities. That is Star Trucker through and through; a cargo hauling truck sim set entirely in space, with a diligent devotion in maintaining both the aesthetic and functional tropes of those two seemingly distant worlds. I was hooked the moment I learned about it. I applied through Posterspy's brief, and was lucky enough to be chosen as one of three artists. I'm super grateful to Monster and Monster for their trust, and I hope that my vision of their game comes through in my fully illustrated piece - a whimsical ode to our trusty rig streaking across the cosmos. I loved bringing it to life, and owe no small part of that to Posterspy, both for the opportunity and a steady guiding hand during the process. They're always a blast to collaborate with.
