It’s hard to imagine that the things you’re already doing every day could also be the foundation for your marketing strategy.
Yet, as a business leader, you live through experiences that your target audience would find fascinating, inspiring, or valuable. And you don’t even realise it.
This week, let’s document a moment from your week in a way that connects with your audience, builds relationships, and positions you as a leader.
?? Share a meaningful moment from your week.
Here’s how to structure your post:
1. Start with something that stood out to you this week.?
Did you attend a networking event? Give a talk? Mentor your team? Maybe you ran your first 5k or juggled a dozen tasks on a particularly chaotic Monday.
Example: "Have you ever wondered if the small things you do could make a big impact? This week, I reflected on that during a… [describe the moment]"
2. Add context by sharing what the activity involved.
Bring your audience into the moment: what was happening, who was involved, and why it was significant.
Example: “On Tuesday, I joined a panel discussion about innovation in fintech at a local networking event. It was incredible to be in a room filled with entrepreneurs, investors, and people passionate about building solutions for the future.”
3. Explain why this moment mattered to you.
Share your personal connection to the moment or why it was meaningful.
Example: "Speaking about challenges and successes in front of such a dynamic audience reminded me of why I started this journey in the first place.”

4. Pivot to a closing sentence that builds authority.
Wrap up by tying the moment back to your professional goals without sounding preachy or self-promotional.
Example: "These moments remind me that leadership is about showing up, sharing your perspective, and being open to learning from others. What’s been your standout moment this week?”
Why this works:
? It documents your professional life in an authentic and relatable way.
? It invites conversation, making your post engaging and community-focused.
? It builds authority by demonstrating leadership through actions rather than preaching.
Remember: The goal is to share, not to teach. Simply show up as yourself, and let your audience connect with the real you.
Give it a try this week. Drop me a message if you need help with tailoring this post for your audience.
Happy writing ??
