Post Engage2017 Wrap Up
With AVAYA being in the news over the last several months, this year's event promised to be anything but the usual. It didn't disappoint. From a RedSky perspective, the message was received loud and clear. Business as usual. If we need support on an existing product, call Dev Connect, where we have been partners for many years. We should keep our eyes open for new and exciting products that build on the AURA platform, and we will. AVAYA's partners, including: ConvergeOne, Carousel, and Integration Partners, have always been strong RedSky partners and nothing will change that.
As a demonstration of our commitment to AVAYA, we have taken our flagship product E911 Manager(r) through the Dev Connect certification process with AVAYA CM7. In addition, for our friends in the Department of Defense, we have a new release scheduled for JITC testing to support the latest release of the AVAYA AS-5300, keeping up with advances in technology on both product lines.
Of particular interest this year was another Chapter of "The Great E9-1-1 Debate" hosted by long time AVAYA public safety advocate Mark Fletcher. Our SVP for Sales and Marketing Nick Maier ably represented RedSky on the panel of our industry competitive colleagues. As some of you might recall, at the first version of "The Great E9-1-1 Debate", I was on the panel and had a great time sharing my views of the industry, small as it is, and what should be important to the re-seller community. I am still getting feed back from that event. Nick reported that this year was no different. The session on Monday was well attended. Although the panel was a little smaller due to consolidation, it is clear that we all have a passion for 9-1-1, knowing that our work saves lives.

8 年Business as usual ? Of course. What else would they say that their going to emerge smaller and different ? One of the problems Avaya has had, unless there is a leadership change at the very top, is they put great spin on their announcements but fail to execute. Disappointing & sad.
