Susan Veit M.S., M.Ed., ICE-CCP

Reflections from a 3rd-year Exam Development Board member:
Q: What is your name, title, and board affiliation?
A: Subra Ramesh , CTO, MDVerse, CIPT Exam Board Member
Q: What do you wish others knew about the work of the EDB?
A: I would like others to know the hard work that goes into keeping the CIPT exam true to its goals, and about the continuous improvement process that’s in place so that the CIPT reflects current technological and legal aspects accurately.
Q: What do you think was the greatest accomplishment of the EDB?
A: The greatest accomplishment has been to maintain the accuracy and relevance of the CIPT exam in a constantly changing landscape, with a mostly volunteer group from around the world.
Q: What changed for you from your first year to your final year?
A: My own understanding of technology and its relationship to privacy has grown richer over the period that I have served on the board. The numerous discussions we have had on which section of the body of knowledge each question falls under have been quite stimulating.
Q: What do you think you will take away from your board service?
A: Ability to work in a global remote setting, with a dedicated and mostly volunteer set of people.
Greater understanding of privacy concepts and the technology associated with these concepts.
