Is it possible that a chaser becomes a runner while the “original” runner still runs?

Definitely! It usually happens as a result of the chaser feeling so hurt that they decide to slam the door on their twin, thinking that they’re “taking back their power”, but this doesn’t work for long-term.
Slamming the door on your twin because they hurt you isn’t a power move, it’s fear driven…just like when the original runner started running.
The goal is to withdraw your energy from focusing on your twin and obsessing over what they’re thinking and doing, but doing the healing work to stay open to them.
This is the difference between becoming a runner and surrendering:
Running:
“They’ll never get the chance to hurt me again”
“I’ll never forgive them for what they did”
“They are wrong and I’m right”
Surrender:
“I felt so sad and hurt when they pulled away from me, but I love the joy I experienced with them so I’ll heal and move my life forward, if we’re meant to be, then we’ll be.”
See the difference? With surrender, you aren’t creating new karmic crud that you’ll have to clear later.
Switching to the runner role might feel good in the moment but it’s like a few drinks too many…it will catch up with you and hit you haaaaaaard when the buzz wears off.
