I have always been infuriated working on developing my weakness and building it up and I am sure many who read this would have done it as all of us contemplate that we need to slog on our weakness and fight it to better it and that’s what is it trained at home from the initial days by our family and well-wishers.

 

Its lately that I realised that if we work on our deficiencies the efforts required to develop/ better it takes a massive time and chances of accomplishment is only less 10%.

 

Instead if we spend time to classify and Categorise ourselves and work on knowing our strength and reinforce it further, the results would remarkably higher.

“Positive Self Shopping” is the name I would prefer to give it to the Vision of recognizing Self Strength’s and Working to make it superior.

This viewpoint recognises the resilience of individuals and focuses on the potentials, strengths, interests, abilities, knowledge and capacities of individuals, rather than their limits.

These are the few reasons why you should focus on strength.

 

  • Emphasis on your Strength/ Positives

 

Which means you will spend time with yourself and work towards understanding yourself.

 

Identify your strength will make you more poised and cover up your negatives through the Qualities you have identified in you, which thoroughly means you become more Acceptable and Resourceful.

 

Yes, you are reading it right, you will develop more confidence in yourself and You will surely do well in your career, if you have identified it well.

 

  • Right Career

 

This helps with Zero Error in Career Choosing. Which means, if you recognize the positives sides in you, will know which career suits better and will be able to pinpoint it.

 

It will be easy to crack interviews and also to work as it exactly what you wanted to do in life.

 

  • Knowing better

 

Which means you get closer to yourself.

 

If you know and get closer to yourself, will never be self-centred and open for discussions as you are purely attentive on your positives.

 

You get another best Friend – YOURSELF.

 

  • Overlooking Negatives

 

It will become such that, you work so much on positives that you forget what your limitations are, when you go for an interview or in any discussion if anyone ask you “What’s your negative side” (this is used as common interview question) and you will end up saying “I don’t know anything, rather I don’t remember cos that is never my focus on those area”.

 

Currently Most feedback session at workplace emphasizes the negative. During formal employee evaluations, discussions invariably focus on “opportunities for improvement,” even if the overall evaluation is laudatory.

We need to rather concentrate on the constructive side of an employee and make him understand his fortes.

 

I propose that companies should have strength assessment/ evaluation sessions and identifying their strengths which in turn, helps the company overall.

 

Informally, the sting of criticism lasts longer than the balm of praise. Multiple studies have shown that people pay keen attention to negative information. For example, when asked to recall important emotional events, people remember four negative memories for every positive one. No wonder most executives give and receive performance reviews with all the enthusiasm of a child on the way to the dentist.

So Let’s, Discontinue perturbing on Undesirable and lets start Shopping!!!
