Here's how you can turn a 'connection' into a relationship:

1. Don't just connect. Engage with people who inspire you. Compliment them and show a real and authentic interest in them.

2. Once they reply, don't be shy and ask for a call. This way, you can connect 'live'. Be flexible and offer a calendar link to make it easier on both sides.

3. Show up on time and BE YOU. No need for extra formalities, share your story, listen to theirs and listen actively.

4. If you feel like it's a "match", well, keep engaging. Really nurture that new relationship. Take it out of LinkedIn if you feel more at ease on other platforms (for me WhatsApp works?muuuuch?better!).

That's it. Sounds 'too' easy right?

Trust me, it gets easier with time.

The more you do it, the more it will feel "normal" to you.

I usually speak with around 5 new people every week. Mostly from LinkedIn.

Because I go out there, and I make?that?connection.

Even if it means I might not get a reply.
