Positive pupil recruitment message from St Lawrence College, where "well-being is at the heart of everything"
The key message at St Lawrence College , Kent is that "every individual is nurtured and well-being is at the forefront of everything that we do," says Barney Durrant, Head.
This explains while there is "doom and gloom" in some parts of the independent education sector, "St Lawrence is bucking the trend."
In this video interview we filmed last week, he explains "I think it just comes down to a real focus on quality and on our core ethos."
"At the heart of everything that we do here is catering for the individual."
And if they get that bit right he adds, "We can secure happy, valued, cherished individuals, then they will go on to do brilliantly within their academic work, within their extra curricular activities."
Explaining the buoyant interest from parents locally, nationally and internationally he says "I think we’ve become renowned for [these values], and hopefully that will mean that we can continue to be as successful as we are.
