Harvard Open Course, Positive Psychology - Tal Ben-Shahar (23 Video Lectures)
Positive Psychology has become a cornerstone of my life which has proved for a richer life experience. I came across this Harvard Open Course on YouTube and it opened my eyes a bit, offering profound insights into achieving lasting happiness. Tal Ben-Shahar has an engaging teaching style that's easy to follow while connecting the science of well-being to everyday life.
In his lectures, Ben-Shahar references game changers in this field like Marty Seligman, Marva Collins, and Carol Dweck, and many others, giving a wealth of diverse knowledge in this area. I was encouraged by these videos to dive deeper into their works and have gained a more comprehensive understanding of positive psychology.
Why Positive Psychology?
Positive psychology is not just about feeling good, it's about the benefits that positivity brings to all aspects of our lives. From enhancing our mental and physical health to improving our relationships and productivity, the principles of positive psychology have the power to transform. Ben-Shahar does a great job guiding through these concepts, starting with 'What is positive psychology' and expanding into practical strategies everyone can apply.
Below are 23 Video Lectures. Each are ~1 hour and 15 minutes each. I highly recommend going through all of them as you have time. Best to start from the beginning, however, if a Lecture title resonates, ok to skip to it as sequence is not necessary.
