Positive news for Commercial property in Mackay

At the Opteon breakfast last week, it was good to hear some positive stories of recent Commercial property transactions in our town. Headlined by the sale of the Southside Bunnings store at a capitalisation rate of 5.92 %, there were others that showed some confidence returning to the market and at promising capitalisation rates; (IGA West Mackay 7.05%;Westpac Mt Pleasant 7.22% ; NAB Victoria St             9.76%; Greyhound Bus site 9.83%).

It's been a while since we've had some enthusiasm in our commercial property market, and some confidence in that arena hopefully reflects improving trading confidence for business in the town .

As an accounting practice we are also witnessing some interest in buying businesses, so hopefully this leads into a stronger 2017/18 financial year.
