Being positive in every situation is easier said than done. At times we succumb to the?pressures and challenges around us and our threshold?goes?for a toss.?If we are unable to handle the situation and challenges,?then?we need to look for help?to find answer to look ahead and coach will help us.?
In today’s world and?scenario,?we come across lot of humans who are tied up with?negative thoughts and need someone to change their outlook and focus in life.?A positive coach is one who can mentor people to focus on positivity around. It’s?always said that we can only give what we have within us, so if the coach practices?positivity at all times,?then?only he will be able to practice positive coaching as well.?
We tend to get angry and negative when we move out from our comfort zone but we?forget that no matter hard the situation is, it is always something to be positive and?grateful for.?So?when they are not according to our plan and scheme of things, we must deal it?with positivity and optimism and try to convert challenges into opportunities.?
A positive heart lives to positive mind. There is a great deal of it, written about the?connection of heart and need both anatomically and psychologically. The heart is in a?constant?two-way?dialogue with the brain, our emotions?change?the signal which?brain sends to heart.??
The positive words of love, care and compassion had deep impact on water droplets as well and they turned into ice crystals- (An experiment conducted by?Dr. Masaru Emoto). The power of positivity and prayer converted polluted water to crystals as well. His point was that of positive words to water could make such a difference,?then?it would deep impact human beings as human body is 70% water.?
Today let’s talk about?Perma model.?
The PERMA model of wellbeing outlines five key pillars for flourishing and thriving at work and beyond: Positive emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishment.?
Dr Seligman said, ‘Positive psychology takes you through the countryside of pleasure and gratification, up into the high country of strength and virtue, and finally to the peaks of lasting fulfillment, meaning and purpose’.
P – Positive Emotion
Positive emotion is much more than mere happiness. Positive emotions include hope, interest, joy, love, compassion, pride, amusement, and gratitude. Positive emotions are a prime indicator of?flourishing and they can be cultivated or learned to improve wellbeing (Fredrickson, 2001).
Ways to build positive emotion include:
?E- Engagement
The concept of engagement is something much more powerful than simply “being happy,” but happiness is one of the many by products of engagement.

R- Positive Relationships
Relationships encompass all the various interactions individuals have with partners, friends, family members, colleagues, bosses/mentors/supervisors, and their community at large.
Relationships in the PERMA model refer to feeling supported, loved, and valued by others.?
How to build relationships:
M- Meaning
Another intrinsic human quality is the search for meaning and the need to have a sense of value and worth. Seligman (2012) discussed meaning as belonging and/or serving something greater than ourselves. Having a goal and purpose in life helps individuals focus on what is really important in the face of significant challenge or adversity.
Having meaning or purpose in life is different for everyone. Meaning may be pursued through a profession, a social or political cause, a creative endeavor, or a religious/spiritual belief. It may be found in a career or through extracurricular, volunteer, or community activities. Ways to build meaning:
A-???Accomplishment
Accomplishment in PERMA is also known as achievement, mastery, or competence.A sense of accomplishment is a result of working toward and reaching goals, mastering an endeavor, and having self-motivation to finish what you set out to do. This contributes to wellbeing because individuals can look at their lives with a sense of pride (Seligman, 2012).
Achieving?intrinsic goals?(such as growth and connection) leads to larger gains in wellbeing than external goals such as money or fame (Seligman, 2013).

Practicing Positive Psychology makes life worth living. The feeling of love, care, affection and positivity comes from the heart and?emotions. To be happy and positive one has to be?in state?of gratitude and?thankfulness?and then?we are able to practice same in our lives and then coaching.
