Positive changes for the new year

I am brave enough to admit that 2023 did not exactly rock my world. But there were highlights such as my projects into America and education, both of which are gaining pace.

As I sat down late last year to do my budgeting and planning, I reflected on the year and what had worked and what had not, but also the feedback and ideas I have had from my network.

So, I will be tweaking things for 2024 and bringing in new services because of this, and I feel positive that 2024 will kick 2023’s butt.

In fact, the second half of last year I spent a lot of time online at events and meetings with people in America and Canada, and this confirmed that although we have a common language we have diverse cultures, and ways of doing business. Some of these when looked at in more detail will work in the UK as well, so I have made those changes.

I have always been open to feedback and ideas from my network and learnt a new phrase that I have adopted (from America) which is “you cannot read the label from inside the jar” I love this and when I have used it others have also warmed to it. But it is true people will see things about you and your business that you just wont and sometimes they are so simple you wonder why you did not see them, but you did not.

So, what will be new or tweaked for 2024.

My “the 1960 club” is getting an upgrade with more benefits based on feedback from current members. The club is all around ensuring its members have access to all the information regarding LinkedIn updates, changes, tweaks, and trends, so they have all the latest tools to succeed on LinkedIn.

I am doing a full run of online masterclasses starting in January and ending in November. These 1-hour online sessions will look at my four pillars of LinkedIn and will help the attendees accelerate their use of the platform, giving them the set up and activity guidance that LinkedIn does not. I am running two sessions to allow my American/Canadian friends to book on.

My main 1-2-1 service is getting an additional level aimed at the American market but will work anywhere and is all about continual support and helping with updates and strategies.

I have expanded my Power hour to Power sessions for those who need help from an expert but do not need the full 1-2-1 service. This is for people looking at a particular part of LinkedIn or whose profile is decent but could do with that final polish/finesse.

I am sure there will be other tweaks as we go on, but I am happy I am now offering a more rounded package of services.

Also, I aim to be doing more workshops in education, giving students 16+ the tools to find a work placement and ultimately help find a job or launch their company.

Do thank you to all the people who have invested in my training in the last 5.75 years and continue to refer me and I look forward to working with more people from the age of sixteen or over, in any English-speaking country in various industries.
