Positive affirmations: the way to share our 'wants' with the world
Following up on this idea of the ‘shoulds’ and ‘wants’ of my last post. This one is about speaking out to the world, inner or external, and sharing what we want or what we don’t.
Negative affirmations such as: “I don’t want a job that forces me to sit in front of the computer more than 5 hours” could be completely different if we would think first about what we actually want.
Doing positive affirmations that attracts the correct energy it’s the first thing we can do to make this happen. “I want a job that allows me to be a maximum of 5 hours per day in front of the computer”. It sounds better already, doesn’t it?
When we talk about bringing the correct energy, I mean focusing the energy on getting what we want rather than on what we do not want, we set our mind and body in such a way that we act upon what we are really looking for.
Let’s write down all those things we do not want and transform those into positive affirmations.
Here you can find a few examples:
N: I do not want a job that doesn’t allow me to have enough work-life balance.
P: I WANT A JOB THAT ALLOWS ME TO HAVE ENOUGH WORK-LIFE BALANCE.
N: I do not want a boss who does not inspire me and constantly underestimates my skills.
P: I WANT A BOSS WHO INSPIRES ME AND LEVERAGES MY SKILLS.
N: I do not want to work in a place where people are not considered important and where nurturing the culture is not one of their core values.
P: I WANT TO WORK IN A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE ARE CONSIDERED IMPORTANT AND WHERE NURTURING CULTURE IS ONE OF THEIR CORE VALUES.
