POSITIONED for Greatness

TO POSITION means to arrange or put something or someone in a place. In this case, a place for greater influence. Take your position!


P?-?Perseverance: The mindset for OVERCOMING is foundational to being positioned for success.?Which means you, as a leader, never stop learning, growing, and becoming.

O?-?Open-mindedness: Adversity has a natural effect on all of us.? Which is to shut us down, creating a protective orientation that sees the limitations rather than the opportunities. Open-minded leaders are growth minded leaders.

S?-?Self-awareness: This requires an understanding of my strengths and weaknesses.?What we don’t possess naturally, we have to cultivate intentionally.? One reflection to take into account is the following: When challenging situations present themselves, I have a tendency to ________ .? I want to become the type of person that ________, in the face of adversity.

I?-?Integrity: A leader’s integrity is reflective of the integration of this desire and the values that honor who you want to become in the world.?If you’re a different person behind closed doors, you have an integrity issue.? If what you say you believe doesn’t match your behavior, you have an integrity issue.

T?-?Teamwork: Individual achievements are shallow in comparison to team achievements. Great things cannot be done in isolation.? Find someone and share your aspirations.? Ask them about theirs.? Walk together in pursuit of both and do great things.?

I?-?Innovation: Innovation is not just about creative ideas, it is the willingness to take risks, to drive progress, and believe change is possible. It happens best in community. While innovators may take the first step, it is the courageous follows that truly make the difference.

O?-?Optimism: Optimism and faith are synonymous.? What you believe to be true will impact every position you take, every relationship you have, and everything you try to achieve. “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” – Helen Keller

N?-?Nurturing: Nurture and cultivate a vision worth pursuing.? Nurture and cultivate the values worth living.? Nurture and cultivate a relationship worth enjoying.? Give and it will come back to you multiplied and running over.?
