Purpose of this position:

The role will be based in Rozelle and Sydney Fish Markets facilities. There will also be the occasional requirement to travel to remote or offshore destinations for testing and service work for short durations.

You will report to the fleet engineers and you will be allocated preventive, corrective or general tasks as required, across a fleet of luxury vessels.

General Requirements:?????????

·????????Inspect and repair shipboard machinery including hydraulic & pneumatic equipment, winches, lifting gear and pump sets.

·????????Inspection and testing of fire systems

·????????Inspection and testing of diesel generators

·????????Fault identification, troubleshooting & condition reporting

·????????Sourcing & installation of new parts and equipment

·????????Pressure testing of valves and hydraulic components

·????????Load testing of winches and lifting equipment

·????????Adhere to company safety policies and procedures which include completing JSEA’s, permits to work, Isolations and Risk analysis

·????????Provide brief reports & photographs of maintenance completed.

Technical Scope:

·????????Mechanical Fitter (Australian Trade recognized)

·????????Hydraulics trade/experience (highly desirable)

·????????Marine or Offshore Service Technician experience (highly desirable)

·????????Minimum Experience 5 years

·????????Strong safety experience.

·????????Must hold or be willing to obtain a General Construction Induction Card (White Card)

·????????Willing to obtain national police certificate for security

·????????Willing to complete drug and alcohol testing

·????????Comfortable working independently with the ability to operate and report remotely

·????????Other tickets (e.g. Confined Space,?Working Safely at Heights,?Rigging, EWP, forklift) would be advantageous.

Education:

·????????Trade qualified in a relevant field (i.e. Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, Marine Mechanic, Marine Engineer, Electrical or similar).

·????????Demonstrated skills and hands-on experience with technical systems, repairs and maintenance.

·????????Be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.

·????????Display a positive attitude, respect for fellow staff and a proven track record of good work ethic and cleanliness.

·????????Knowledge of vessel systems

·????????Marine qualifications
