The Position is a Leader, but the Role is to SERVE.

I first came across this little village called “Ayenya” in 2012 when I took a group of selected young basketball student-athletes on a basketball outreach program as part of our Basketball Select Camp event. When we visited the village the stone-walled building behind me in the photo below was now under construction and was set to be the first Junior High School in the village. I was excited but I was unsure of the true intention of the group that was building. Fast forward to 2015, the foreign NGO that built the school stopped its work in the village and sold the JHS building and other local properties to a private businessman.

In 2018, I led my organization Impact Youth Foundation to adopt the village as our home base with the mission to restore hope to the youth in the village through sports and education.

Today, I am pleased to say we are doing just that the foundation I am standing on is a 3 classroom block we are building for the village. This block will also serve as a girls development centre to equip and empower young female adolescents using Sports & STEM. This is a part of our mission in the village. Our hope is to inspire others to our IMPACT model across the country. So, mark March 8 to March 12 in your calendar as GlobalGiving matches all donation for this project up to $50 by 50%. Your donation will equip us to raise the walls of the entire building. You are invited to Impact with us! To read more about the project and donate kindly click https://goto.gg/45732 . I will be happy to send you a reminder a week from now if you let me know your interest to join our campaign.
