Position the Customer Not the Brand, Here is Why?

I hate to break the bad news to you, but just posting on social media won’t bring you results. Pause – I don’t know about you, don’t know about your specific business and brand goals but I surely can tell you want to build a business, you want to improve your brand online, you want to get sales.

You know it’s always not easy to step out of the comfort zone, this zone is not only mine but also fellow hustlers trying to make ends meet, you will hear and most probably have been told that by you posting on social media you’re already communicating to your target audience, that by you posting on social media you have already created a sales funnel for your business, thou in some cases this works out mostly if you’re dealing in a niche that gets a lot of organic traffic like fashion, sports, and comedy.

Stop, please don’t read beyond here if you only dream of building a mediocre brand or business, if you’re not yet ready to invest in the required efforts – STOP HERE – do it for you.

The OFFER – Firstly, by you reading this now means you understand the world is online and people are social, Tip – Be human, - Human beings love being educated, love fun, love sharing happy moments, love reading inspiration and success stories, some love being offered discounts and sales alerts.

As a business or a brand, you need to invest in turning your customers into a better version of themselves, customers aren’t interested in what your products or services can do for them – they are interested in what your products or services make them. Try this – we purchase and drink coca-cola not because it’s the best drink in the world, we do because of the feeling and perception we get whenever we drink it – “Open happiness”

You as a business or brand being online shouldn’t be just made up of positioning your products or services Infront of your potential customer, it should be about positioning your customer and making them a better version through empowerment, encouragement, show them how your products and services make them a better person.

Conclusion – don’t just post on social media for the sake that everyone is doing so, or your competitors are doing so, post meaningful content for your targeted audience and create a bridge between them and the business/brand.

NB – The customer is king and it’s the customer that builds your brand.
