PORTSYNERGY – GMP RAISES THE HEIGHT OF ITS STS CRANES
XXL works on the PortSynergy - GMP terminal. The port terminal of Le Havre raises 4 of its 10 STS gantry cranes in Port 2000 of 9 meters to continue to accommodate the largest vessels in the world.
The PortSynergy - GMP STS gantry crane upgrade project is entering a spectacular phase. The legs of the first of the 4 gantries concerned were indeed cut and raised by 9 meters.
PortSynergy - GMP regularly demonstrates its ability to handle the world's largest vessels.
Recently, the port terminal hosted the official inauguration of the last mastodon of CMA-CGM, the vessel Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (400 meters long, 59 meters wide and 20,600 TEU containers on board).
To prepare for the next generation of ships in 2020, PortSynergy - GMP continues to adapt and invest. This extraordinary project was entrusted to Kalmar.
The duration of the work is estimated at 10 weeks per crane.
