Port of Oakland to Receive $175 Million for Gateway Renewal Project

The Alameda CTC (Alameda County Transportation Commission), CTC (California Transportation Commission), and the City and Port of Oakland have come together to commence the 7th Street corridor project. ?

“The modernization of this gateway into the maritime area will enhance the flow of traffic in and out of the port, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by curtailing the time trucks spend here, which is important for public health,” said Danny Wan, Port of Oakland Executive Director. “As we build for the next generation, improving infrastructure around the port supports safer transportation, improved operations, jobs and positive economic impact.”

?????This $175 million project entails relief in traffic congestion, improved safety for multimodal transportation, as well as efficiency and reliability of truck and rail access to the Oakland Seaport. Also included is a shared bicycle/pedestrian pathway connecting to the Bay Trail System creating easier accessibility.

“Today’s action by the CTC allows us to move this critical project into construction in 2023 and is a great example of partnership to leverage local, regional and state funding to deliver transportation improvements that benefit not only the residents of Alameda County, but the entire Northern California mega-region,” stated Tess Lengyel, Alameda CTC Executive Director.

My company has been harassed by the BestBay Sales agents. They have ignored repeated requests to stop the sales emails. We will NEVER do business with a company like this!!
