Port of Morrow Grapples with Persistent Unauthorized Operations and Vessel Arrival Disruptions

The second-largest port in Oregon, USA, the Port of Morrow, has once again experienced port violations due to pollution issues, and this pollution has been ongoing for some time.
Due to prolonged disrepair of the local port's main oil pipeline, there has been a sewage leak, resulting in extensive standing water around the pipeline and a substantial discharge of port wastewater. However, as this is the third violation in over a year for the port, with the previous two violations already incurring a fine of 200,000 USD, the Port of Morrow has announced its intention to completely replace the pipeline by the end of 2023.
Previously, E-PORTS helped shipowners resolve the issue of being unable to dock for operations: a shipowner was about to arrive at the Port of Morrow for unloading a 335MT project cargo; due to local port pipeline repair issues, docking was not possible. Therefore, E-PORTS used SAAS built-in communication tools to promptly inform the shipowner of port developments and provided specific vessel scheduling, assisting the shipowner in orderly docking and completing the operation.
As of now, E-PORTS has learned that the port has not publicly disclosed when they plan to replace the pipeline, and it remains uncertain whether this will directly impact arriving vessels. If there are ships/shipowners planning to operate at the Port of Morrow in the near future, they can stay updated through the E-PORTS platform's port guide. We commit to providing real-time port updates and the best pricing options within 24 hours.
