The Porsche Taycan Model Range: Electric Performance meets Design.

Since it was launched, the all-electric Porsche sportscar has won many awards with its impressive combination of innovative technology, standout design and dynamic performance.

PERFORMANCE.

BATTERY AND DRIVE.

The Taycan battery exploits its huge potential by using pouch cells, chemically optimised for maximum performance with a long range: in the large capacity version (Performance Battery Plus), there are 33 modules with a total of 396 cells. The more compact Performance Battery that is fitted as standard in the Taycan, Taycan 4S, Taycan Sport Turismo and Taycan 4S Sport Turismo produces its energy from 28 modules with a total of 336 cells. The Turbo, Turbo S, GTS as well as all Taycan Cross Turismo models feature the Performance Battery Plus as standard.

The battery is also based on 800-volt technology instead of the usual 400 volts. The effect: improved charging and drive performance. The cooling system ensures that the drive is optimally supplied with energy in any situation. And an extremely robust battery frame ensures maximum safety even in the event of an accident.

For brake energy recuperation in all Taycan models, Porsche developed Porsche Recuperation Management (PRM), which consists of sophisticated brake recuperation. The system works innovatively and can recuperate up to 90% of the braking energy. Level can be adjusted to suit your own preferences, while the brake recuperation always ensures maximum efficiency. This means that brake recuperation is first activated via the brake pedal and the mechanical brake is only engaged when stronger braking is required – intelligently controlled by a braking system that is capable of blending.

So you significantly improve your car's stopping power and the maximum possible amount of kinetic energy is transformed into additional miles of driving pleasure: with an outstanding recuperation output of up to 275kW, energy can be fed back into the battery.

CHARGING.

At Porsche, we not only think about the product, but also the environment in which it is used, Porsche is developing a network of High-Performance Charging Infrastructure: both with its own solutions and together with selected partners, such as IONITY. Through the Porsche Charging Service, you receive three years‘ subscription free access to the IONITY rapid-charging network where you can charge your vehicle at subsidised rates.

The Taycan has two charge ports, which are located behind port doors, one on either side of the front section of the body. Both sides support AC charging, while faster DC (direct current) charging is also possible using the port on the right side of the vehicle. You can charge the Taycan at home with up to 11kW AC charging as standard, and up to 22kW with an optional charger, which cuts the charging time down by around about half.

On the road, you have the advantage of the car’s sophisticated temperature management strategy for the battery. When using a DC charger, the charging process speeds up significantly. It allows the battery to provide a range of up to 100km (according to WLTP) after charging for just five minutes approximately.

DRIVING MODES.

The Taycan, Taycan Cross Turismo and Taycan Sport Turismo feel great at any speed. And their Porsche Crest guarantees that they have intelligent systems to ensure that their drivers are equally comfortable.

Gravel mode is unique to the Cross Turismo and optimises traction and performance on loose surfaces, for example gravel or light mud. Ensuring you can keep going, even off the beaten track.

THREE BODY SHAPES.

Taycan Sports Saloon.

The Taycan is the pure expression of a Porsche electric sports car. Striking proportions, timeless and instantly recognisable design, and a perfect blend of performance with everyday usability.

Taycan Cross Turismo.

The Taycan Cross Turismo embraces your lifestyle, with an enlarged rear luggage compartment and even more spacious interior. Its bold capability is further highlighted by the characteristic accents of the Off-road Design Package.

Taycan Sport Turismo.

Sleek design and generous space. Engaging dynamics and exceptional comfort. The Taycan Sport Turismo combines the best of two electrified worlds.

EXTERIOR DESIGN.

Air curtains.

Lateral air intakes ahead of the front wheels – so-called air curtains – also improve the aerodynamics, by guiding incoming air over the wheels like a curtain, thereby reducing turbulence.

Four-point LED headlights.

The floating design of the new headlights gives the Taycan a distinctive identity, while the four-point LED signature is an unmistakable expression of Porsche DNA.

Deploying door handles.

The silhouette is characterised by a dynamic, flat flyline. Flush, automatically extending door handles open the vehicle interior with its deep, sporty seating position.

Panoramic fixed glass roof.

There are two roof options: the contoured variant made of lightweight aluminium with an indentation in the middle creates a shape that is known to us from motorsport. Alternatively, a panoramic fixed glass roof provides an open, airy feeling.

Rear design.

The rear design boasts a seamless light strip and ‘PORSCHE’ logo made of three-dimensional letters in a glass look.

INTERIOR DESIGN.

Cockpit.

A new innovative digital concept has almost completely replaced physical switches. The result is a cleaner, sleeker appearance with increased functionality. The same principle of digital simplification also applies to the displays – intuitive, customisable and easy to use without distraction.

16.8-inch curved display.

The arrangement is also driver-focused, as is typical of Porsche: the instrument cluster is the centre of attention, consisting of a 16.8-inch curved display and surrounded by control panels with Direct Touch Control for selecting lighting and chassis functions.

Communication Management.

Your central control unit for audio, navigation and communication: Porsche Communication Management (PCM) including online navigation1. The PCM display on the 10.9-inch central dashboard can be individually configured, allowing direct access to the most important functions.

8.4-inch centre console control panel.

This touch-sensitive panel with haptic feedback provides direct control to climate functions, along with a shortcut bar. When parked, the screen displays the charging status.
