Rejoin the EU

We have just heard that the Rejoin EU petition is to be debated in Parliament on 24th March.? We need EVERY MP (apart from Reform UK) to receive a copy of our book - our White Paper on Rejoining the EU is effectively the evidence bundle for the debate. Let's make sure every MP has a copy. We have already delivered around 150 to various MPs and influencers.

Please help us defeat populism by donating?via Paypal or Go Fund Me. We need something like £7000 to mail copies to every MP and key members of the media.? You may get your own copies of the book via Amazon.? We are also considering some kind of event before the day to ensure that the debate does not go unheard in the media. This too will need support.? If you can help in any way, please get in touch via [email protected]

Starmer v Chamberlain ?

This para below written BEFORE Trump's meeting with Vlodimir Zelensky.

I understand why Starmer went bearing gifts to Trump.? After all, Britain is in a fire sale situation after Brexit, desperate to get any kind of US trade deal at ANY cost.? However, call us old fashioned, BUT kowtowing to rapists and convicted felons is ALWAYS a mistake.? Trump has got EXACTLY what he wants, not just the audience with the King, but he has driven a wedge between Britain and Europe which he will exploit for his own ends.? Starmer would have done well to speak to John Bolton on this. But, to quote Stingray, anything could happen in the next half hour ...? All depends on whether Trump has watched Mork and Mindy, The Beverley Hillbillies, Silence of the Lambs?or Family Guy before he meets Zelensky ... But overall, this is a deplorable development.? Trump finds a weak spot and drives a screwdriver into the hole to make it bigger.? The comparisons with Chamberlain and Hitler are palpable, even though Starmer may feel he had little option to come bearing gifts. If he had read a decent book on negotiation, the time to offer the audience with the King was AFTER Trump had honoured his promises with Ukraine. Starmer has given all the crown jewels away (literally) due to his continuing fear of Farage.

Two little boys ...

This para below written AFTER Trump's meeting with Vlodimir Zelensky.

The piece of costume drama created by Trump and Vance was deliberately done to please Putin, not the American people. Remember Trump's approval ratings are dropping like a stone. Russia has already responded in a way that demonstrates that Trump's so-called broadcast only had one viewer in mind ... Putin. Some analysis:

  • Blaming Zelensky for negotiating on TV when the Trump administration insists on airing delicate negotiations as if they are an edition of the Jerry Springer show is classic deflection.
  • One cannot be an arbitrator or mediator and then take the side of one of the parties. Trump would never get a job at ACAS !!
  • Trump also used all the classic Huthwaite Institute 'irritators'. He demonstrated that he is NOT a skilled negotiator.
  • John Bolton pointed out that the choices available to Trump included closing the press event once it got into deep water. He didn't. Trump gave the game away by stating that it made 'great TV' ... presumably for Vladimir Putin ...
  • Trump's strategy seems clear. To have Zelensky replaced by a puppet, give Ukraine to Russia and help Putin rebuild to move further into Europe. We must act now.
  • Arguably Trump and Vance over-reached by behaving like two petulant three year olds trying to bully an adult over a piece of chocolate. So far the world has united against them (apart from Putin's ally Orban).
  • Starmer should now withdraw the offer of a state visit (he should never have made it) and unite with Europe. Sign the petition.
  • Trump would actually learn more from convicted paedophile Rolf Harris, who performed a song about the horrors of war called "Two Little Boys". Even the lyrics of this song are way above the mental age of Trump and Vance. I know some will find Harris objectionable, but listen to the story which actually tells the tale of a grown up approach to conflict.

I cannot leave without drawing a parallel between Trump and Vance's childish and nasty behaviour and this segment of satire from Alan Partridge. Watch till the end.

Thank you Peter! I really enjoyed reading your article, it was eye-opening and funny in these sad times. Action is needed to stop worldwide populists and people who believe that money is all that matters.

Chamberlain like now may have been playing for some time. The UK wasn't ready to fight a war.
