The Popeye's Standard

Popeye's Chicken is not as low as I go. No, that would be Cici's Pizza. Once in a while it's alright. Most fast food leaves me cold. Popeye's is enjoyable. The service is good. Chick- Fil-A gets all the press, as if they invented politeness.

Anyone can do it. Sometimes I go to fast casual restaurants. They think they are fancier as they have trendy marketing and cutesy names for their meals. After eating at one I thought "Popeye's was a better option."

This was a burger restaurant. There was no flavor. I had given this restaurant another chance after a lesser experience a couple years before. Next time- go to Popeye's. They have spicy options which were better than the bland burger which wasn't as good as I remembered.

The food was always fine. The service was questionable. I usually deal with friendly people at Popeye's. You never know where it will happen. I walked through a JC Penney and witnessed friendly service. Anyone can do it.

Doesn't cost anything and it can make the workday feel worthwhile. Life is not short. Maybe when it's over. Today is not that day- there is not enough time to patronize bad restaurants. Some are so disappointing I wish the calories don't count.

That's not how the world works. If you cultivate a better experience at Popeye's- or any other chain- go there. Never settle for something lesser. It is too expensive to eat out and not meet expectations. Aspire to something enjoyable.

Some might think "Chicken at a gas station" is not going to be appetizing. Well, if you are in or near Baltimore, Royal Farms is very good. It may not be a place to take a date. Maybe if you pick it up and bring it home. There are many good options. Don't settle for the ones that are not very good.
