The Park Avenue poodle, Simone, is excited to say: “It's National Lipstick Day! It’s no speculation that my mom loves lip decoration, and that’s no exaggeration.
We strut to a popular makeup store on the Upper East Side of NYC, and that prancing poodle is me!
Standing on my hind legs with Grace by my side, I peruse the cosmetics lines that make women look tres fine.
I appreciate beauty for human and canine cuties.
So, I wrote a poem about lipstick’s merits, and this is it:
‘I know I don’t wear makeup, but ladies, listen up!
If you want to brighten up your face, just ask Grace.
She’ll tell you that lipstick is the trick.
Yes, mascara can be brushed on to lengthen and curl your lashes to the sky. My, oh my.
You can do a bold eyeshadow swipe or pick softer shades.
Eyeliner in various colors and black, makes your eyes pop.
For accentuating your cheekbones and giving the look of a summer tan, bronzer may be stroked on.
A sweep of glistening highlighter creates a visage that glows. Who knows?
But according to Grace, even if you have an otherwise bare face: ‘Lipstick is the one thing that gives your face unabashed bling!’
Yup, that’s all it took to liven up your look.
Who doesn’t want glamour and to be enamored?
Put on your lip Va Va Voom, and you’ll entice in any room!
And that’s the power of lips! Putting color on them makes you want to skip!
If you’re a female from 18 to 92, lipstick makes you feel good about you!
It depends on your mood, if you choose lip gloss or lipstick in a tube.
Select matte or shiny, pale, deep, or bright, a hue for day, or a color for night.
How about rose, mauve, ruby, or pink? What do you think?
Do you go for the shade of nude when you have the summer natural attitude?
Maybe, like Grace, you like lipstick in a fancy case or a prestigious brand that makes you feel oh, so grand.
Lip cosmetics galore: Too Faced, Lancome, MAC, Smash Box, or Urban Decay, and much more!
Perhaps your fella prefers when your face looks mellow. Maybe he likes lighter or neutral lip hues that don’t draw attention to you.
But trust your feminine instincts, even if it means wearing Shocking Pink.
If you want beauty drama, emulate my makeupista mama.
She recommends changing your lip color when you desire. Yet, pick shades that you admire.
Do you like your lips to appear glossy, matte, or sheer? Oh, dear!
Would you desire a fuller pout? Enter glosses that plump your lips with ingredients like cinnamon.
When they are made with argan oil, shea butter, or honey, some lipsticks cost more money. They’re creamy and feel dreamy.
Wearing a topper is the trendy lip fashion to make your levres look dashing. It’s iridescent and magnificent.
Fruit flavors in lip tubes are the ‘in thing.’ A little taste of peach, or watermelon, or maybe chocolate, just might be it. And these have no calories.
New names for the classic emerged, like lip paint, lip elixir, or lip lacquer. Hey, I’m no slacker.
So many choices for a woman to make, but don’t worry if a color is a mistake.
Try another type that strikes your fancy, and maybe you and your beau will start dancing.
There are seven days of the week. Why not consider a different lip shade for each day? Yay!
Or how about varying your color or lip style, every day of the year? Hear, hear! I know that would mean 365, but boy, would your lips and social life thrive!
Mom has a myriad of lipsticks that I wonder how she picks. She often matches her lip color to what she’s wearing. Sometimes she goes for subdued, or she is daring.
But a RED LIP she does adore, and Grace even has a lipstick drawer! Red captivates dad, and that makes her very glad. You know what is said about the color of red.
Mommy does a sexy lip pout, and that’s what it’s all about. With lipstick that doesn’t budge and is no smudge, there’s a smooch here and a spin there. Voila! Romance is in the air.
Hooray, lipstick has its own holiday!
Whether you’re in Miami, Boston, LA, or my own New York City, females want to look pretty.
Sashay to your favorite makeup or drug store today, or shop online, and you might luck out, and get a lipstick for free. Sounds terrific to me, and new lipsticks in a box arrived today for mommy.
Just because I’m a poodle who goes ‘Ruff,’ why can’t I wear lipstick and pucker up?
I have style, and I’m a girlie girl who likes to twirl.
I’ll invent ‘Pup Makeup, a cosmetics line for canines,’ created by THE Park Avenue poodle, Simone! The name of the brand will be mine, and I’ll hire the best makeup designers! Lipstick, blush, mascara, and highlighter will delight.
We’ll advertise on TV and in doggie magazines.
A line of hair bows, pompons, and barrettes will be the snazziest yet. Hair ties will keep the fur out of pooches’ eyes.
Want to be kissed? Then I’ll tell you this:
Gals, take out a mirror, put on an alluring lip, and revel in its glory. And that, my friends, is my lipstick story!’
Happy National Lipstick Day!”
