A poodle and a collie are walking together when the poodle suddenly unloads on his friend. “My life is a mess,” he says. “My owner is mean, my girlfriend ran away with a schnauzer, and I’m as jittery as a cat.”
“Why don’t you go see a psychiatrist?” suggests the collie.

Do you have rules in place that prevent your employees from reaching their full potential? The poodle had issues preventing him from being fully concentrated on the task at hand, yet a policy made him think he was not able to do what was necessary to resolve his personal conflict.
Although this is an abstract, apply it to your business. Perhaps someone does not feel they can talk to their supervisor or maybe they did, received no satisfaction, but will not escalate because of prior behavior or policy.
Eliminate these walls in your corporate culture to increase employee engagement.
