The Pomodoro Technique!!

Hi, I am back!

This time, I assure, it will not be a long blog..??

I am writing this as one of my friends asked a very Interesting Question.

“In my blogs I focus on different training and learning skills that help enhance the individual’s knowledge and value. But how does one enhance ‘learning ability’ that will help him in the learning process”?

Hence this short writeup!

There are various ways following which you can enhance/improve your learning abilities. One of the most important one is “The Pomodoro Technique”.

It is a Time Management method based on 25-minute stretches of focused work followed by five-minute break. A longer break of around 15 to 30 minutes, is taken after four consecutive work intervals of 25 minutes.

To clarify further to adopt The Pomodoro Technique, you must:

  1. Identify a task or tasks that you need to complete,
  2. Set a timer for 25 minutes,
  3. Work on the task for 25 minutes with no distractions,
  4. When the alarm sounds, take a 5-minute break,
  5. Repeat the process 3 more times,
  6. Take a longer 30-minute break and start again.

Now, to share why the “Tomato” at the top? ??

Each work interval is called a ‘pomodoro’, the Italian word for “Tomato”!

Hope this helped!!

Regards.
