Polymeric materials are of utmost significance to our life. Polymer already have a range of applications that far exceeds to any other material available to man. I am sure the below article must have ignited a spark for the same:
We already figured out that the current applications of polymer extends from adhesives, coatings, foams, and packaging materials to textile and industrial fibers, electronic devices, biomedical devices, optical devices and precursors for many developed high tech electronics industry.Moreover polymers has extremely influenced our quality of life with its applications in the areas of Agriculture and agribusiness, medicine, consumer science, industry, and sports respectively.
With the advancement of technologies, the understanding of materials increased and better design of products and processing equipments were evolved. The approach of polymer processing industries have been very much customer oriented and this is the reason that many polymer processing technologies are specific to type of products to great satisfaction of users. Shiv Khera rightly said:
" Education turns an empty mind into an open mind. It turns information into behavioural transformation"
Hence let's explore the magic of polymers step by step. Humankind has been mixing together different materials since the dawn of written history to produce products with improved engineering properties. Blending technology developed slowly over long period, but since mid 20th century, there have been exponential growth, thereby improving product quality and output. In future the world will continue to see revolutionary new tools and technology which will further help us improve products, its applications and thereby quality of life.

The need to modify the characteristics and functionality of the polymeric materials is now immense with numerous applications and product feature requirements.
