Polyether polyol dispersant

Polyether polyol dispersant

Polyether polyol dispersants are commonly used in various formulations, particularly in coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers (CASE applications). They are effective in stabilizing pigments, fillers, and other solid particles in liquid formulations. These dispersants work by adsorbing onto the surface of particles, providing steric stabilization and preventing aggregation.

Applications:

Coatings: They are used in both waterborne and solvent-borne systems to improve pigment dispersion, resulting in enhanced color strength and stability.

Adhesives and Sealants: Polyether polyol dispersants can improve the mechanical properties and stability of adhesives and sealants by ensuring a uniform distribution of fillers.

Polyurethane Systems: In polyurethane foam production, polyether polyol dispersants help in stabilizing the foam structure and improve cell size uniformity.

Characteristics:

Compatibility: Polyether polyol dispersants are compatible with a wide range of solvents and polymer systems.

Non-yellowing: They do not contribute to yellowing, making them suitable for applications where color stability is essential.

Low VOC: Some polyether polyol dispersants are designed to be low in volatile organic compounds (VOC), meeting environmental regulations.
